Now that’s a narrow escape!
Watch the moment two suspects squeeze through tiny gap in police van door after accomplice tampers with it – before fleeing to cheers from onlookers.
In the video a man walks over to the back of a police van holding the two suspects and fiddles with the door, which suddenly pops out slightly.The suspects inside the vehicle, who are acutely aware of what has just happened, are then seen banging and kicking the door in a bid to open it. Before long there is a gap just wide enough for one of the men to squeeze through, which he manages to do without a great deal of trouble.
The suspect is then seen pulling open the door to stretch the gap even more to allow for his friend to escape before the pair make off down the road together. Meanwhile observers can be heard cheering, laughing and apparently encouraging their escape.
