Drunk Teenagers Throw Racist Abuse at American Aboard Tram in the Wake of Brexit

With the United Kingdom recently making headlines after voting out of the European Union, a spate of racist incidents against immigrants have been reported.

The country has voted out of the EU largely in part of an anti-immigrant campaign, which has led to a rise in racist abuse across the UK like this incident aboard a tram in Manchester involving three drunk teenagers.

The offensive racist remarks were hurled towards an American, who also claim to be a veteran, on a crowded tram heading towards the city center. Concerned citizens managed to hold him off and prevent things from escalating further, before the young men got off the tram.

Authorities have condemned this kind of abuse and consider it a hate crime. They are also urging its citizens who recognize the men to come forward and help in the investigation.
