Land Rovers have built a reputation for having some of the best off-road vehicles to date, and they are no slouches in hauling heavy loads, too.
In an outright display of power, Land Rover used a stock model of their Discovery Sport line and had it pull three train cars that have a combined weight of 108 tons along a track in Switzerland.
The British automaker had their SUV fitted with specialized wheels to keep it on track. And with the aid of the car’s tech that includes the right combination of tow hitch assist, terrain response and a semi-autonomous driving assistant designed for off-road use, it was able to pull the train for 10 kilometers at an easy pace of 8 kph.
Impressive.
